Today I wanted to share my easy peasy recipe for my girls’ favorite homemade protein balls.
Since our family went gluten free in May of this year, I’ve learned so many great recipes that are easy, my number one priority, and take little time to whip up. I absolutely love Think Thin and LARA bars so much for a healthy, all-natural snack, but I don’t always have then in stock for the girls.
So I try to make a big batch of homemade protein balls/bars every Sunday to have throughout the week.
They are great for breakfast with some fruit or as an afternoon snack!
This particular recipe I found on my friend Martina’s Facebook page she created with some friends called “90 Day Shred with Friends.”
Cookie Dough Bites:
2/3 c raw almonds
1/3 c oats
1 tsp vanilla
3 T maple syrup
1/4 c carob chips (I use chocolate chips sometimes)
Food process everything but the carob chips until combined and then hand mix carob chips in.
Roll into balls and store in fridge/freezer.
Makes roughly 12, but I always double or even triple this recipe to have for the entire week.
